Announcement: The Grammar Handbook Is Ready!

I bet you thought this blog was all fun and games, didn’t you? Just stories of jaunts to the city to buy awesome items to write with or to hold writing implements with? Or perhaps just silly mock epics about poultry warriors?

While all that is true, I finally finished the PenUltimate, Ink. Language Support Happy Grammar Handbook, an 18-page little pamphlet compiled and written by yours truly. Originally I wrote it at the request of my former boss at the writing center where I worked. He asked for a little user-friendly grammar handbook that covered some of the more common grammar issues, myths, and errors so that the tutors had something concrete to show the tutees.

So I wrote it, but many of my examples involved gruesome acts of violence imposed on humans by the hero of the grammar handbook, a Ninja Bunny. Since I felt that that would be a little too violent for publishing on the Web and for just anyone to view, I completely revamped it to include examples that pertain more to my current persona (i.e., they all have to do with fountain pens rather than Ninja Bunnies) and to include pictures that reflect the same.

The link is located at my business site, PenUltimate, Ink. Language Support, and it is on the “The Red Pen” tab. But just click on the previous hyperlink and it will take you right there. You’ll find a link to the PenUltimate, Ink. Language Support Happy Grammar Handbook, and if you click on it, you’ll go to the handbook, which is a .pdf.

Also, don’t forget: if you have any grammar questions that plague you, feel free to write to me here and ask me, and I’ll answer it for you (to the best of my ability).

I hope that, between this blog and my Happy Grammar Handbook, I will help some people to understand grammar a little more and fear it a little less. I love it, and if I can help even one person to develop a liking for it, I will be happy.

Enjoy!
